В русско-японскую - бронепалубный крейсер 2-го ранга
В Первую мировую - эскадренный миноносец.

И тот и тот были хороши для своего времени.

Sorry my friend mitko but the frigate 22350 IS A FEALURE, not the destroyer 21956. The project 21956 has lot of variants, and one of that ie AAW version with C-300s long range missiles. The 22350 is just a common frigate. As for project 20380 corvette, is just a joke... Do you know what will happen with the modernization of TARK "Admiral Nakhimov"? Also note that the project 21956 has its roots back in late 1970s when some brilliant minds wanted a real MULTIROLE destroyer, the 956 +1155 = project 1156, but some idiots in the navy choosed seperately the single role 956 & Udaloy project 1155. The project 22350 is nothing more than a common frigate. Even South Korea builts now the 10000 t KDX III missile Aegis destroyer!!!!! Now in Russian surface fleet only the 2 Kirov class cruisers and the 3 smaller slava project 1164 are valuable. All the other destroyers, frigates etc are a great zero! The russian surface fleet need now a new class of multirole destroyer as the US Arleigh Burge class, in up to 20 units. Thats the reality. NO frigates NO corvettes!!

The only variant of 21956 that I am aware of is the one with klinok/kinzhal AD system. If you are aware of a variant with S-300F please share. Until Russia develops Integrated AAW system like Aegis or PAAMS building new destroyesrs will be pointless.
UK wanted 12 type 45 destroyers but will get 6, France build only 2 Horizont DDGs, Japan will have 8 Aegis DDGs. All theese countries are wealthier then Russia and don`t have to support such large army or nuclear force, how will Russia afford 20 modern DDGs when the shipbuilding budget for 2007 was 13 billion rubbles (500-600 million $).
