A general question: Does any one knows if the second Kirov "Admiral Lazarev" will be scrapped or will finally servive. Also does anyone has news from Admiral Nakhimov? The modernization process started or not yet? Finally the first Kirov "Admiral Ushakov" why was repainted if it is planned to be scrapped?

I ve read the topic about a possible modernization of project 1155 Large antisubmarine ships, and I want to make some comments:

The modernization is absolute need because untile now these ships had no antiship missile, no real AAW capabilities, only ASW rockets and torpedoes. This reminds me the "Spruance class" of USN. US naval officers complained that these destroyers were lightly armed, and they added tomahawk launchers, and later, some MK-41 VLS. Now Russian navy has 7 "Udaloys" of similar size of DDG-51 without long range anti aircraft missiles. Just think about it, the only vessels similar of Ticoderogas, and Arleigh Burges that the Russian Navy has are just 4!!! 1 "Pyotr Veliki" and 3 "Slava". USN has 22 Ticoderogas and 62 DDG 51s!!! So we have 84 units!! At the same time Russian navy has only 4. Now is very difficult for Russian navy to built a vessel of Destroyer size, and I believe that the modernization of project 1155 is the only solution. They are beatifull hulls with GAS TURBINES. The project 956 destroyers due to the steam machinery will be decommicioned, so the navy will have no vessels with long range AAW capability. I dont think that is very difficult to put some S-300 missiles on a project 1155.Note that the Ticoderogas and the Udaloys have the same age. As for the projects 1144, & 1164 I dont know why you navy hate them? Is much better to add at the power of Black sea fleet the forth "Slava" the "Lobov" than to maintain the 40 years old "Kerz"... As for "Admiral Nakhimov" this 20years old ship will have no future unfortunatly

Why the fleet is decreased day by day?? I dont think that the money is the problem.

In many web pages I've seen lot of models of a new missile destroyer, witch called project 21956. Recently I ve seen an image of project 21956 with anti air variant in IDMS 2007. Is the pr.21956 only for export or also for the navy. In fact 21956 is a stealthy "Udaloy".
Also the last 2 months I ve tryed to post some replies but I cant. I am BANNED from the forum or not?

No mater the 1st April, lets talk seriously. China nor India have any interesting about the 4th Slava. Only Russia is a pontential buyer, so why Russia let this vessel to rust in the shypyard? As I know now the navy has only 3 -4 opperational Sovremmenyys so is a huge need for warships, so why Russia doesnt buy the "Admiral Lobov"?

Please I need some information about the planned modernization of "Admiral Nakhimov" and I expect the comments and the information of someone who knows details for that.

The project 22350 frigate is a complete zero. Is a tiny vessel with limited range. The Sovremmenyys p 956 needs replacement and the Udaloys have no weapons on it. This is the reality. I wish Ad. Masorin to understand that he has to modernize the Kirovs and to start to develop new destroyer of up to 8000t, with Brahmos (not Yakhonts), for antiship and Granat for long range land attack missions, and C-400 for extended area defence.
